spring is the opening of the leather-jacket-season. That is why with the skirt of the season number 4 there come also the jackets of the season. See them here.

This one goes out to my one special girl and all others who hear that they are too much but are no more and no less than JUST RIGHT.
 
She is too loud, she is too colorful, she is too positive, she likes too much. She is too much!
 
Hey sister, have you ever been told that something is TOO about you? Have you on top of that been told to slow down? Do you feel like you need to be the little, modest, shy, quiet mouse in the corner? Do you think you need to bow your head just because society expects you to do so?
Listen, you do not need to do anything. Nothing. For no one. Never. The only person whom you need to please is no one less than you. In a world full of shadows and darkness be the color and the sunshine.

I am shocked and saddened at the same time to hear one of my best friends telling me about how often people have considered her to be not healthy in her head just because she was standing out of the monotone, outmoded crowd. And also I have had to deal with accusings such as being megalomaniac, hysterical or was even asked if I was having autism or if I would just play pretend the way I show myself to be. I mean, what the hell? How dare you? Do you actually know what you are talking? Apart from that in more discreet surroundings people thought of needing to school me that a good-moded, happy greeting in the office was not an agreeable welcome but rather a burden. It is not the crazy, happy, positive, emotional or different people who you need to ask what is wrong with them and declare them psychologically unhealthy. Talking about this with people around me one could ask what has gone wrong with them. Anyway you are never too much. It is rather that the others are to less. If you have that special something then show it proudly. You are enriching your surrounding with this.

The German author and business woman Tijen Onaran, who is putting her social and corporate focus on women, is probably the most famous fighter for social equality between the genders as well as for female empowerment in a patriarchal world of hate here in Germany. She has become a TV-lioness in the German version of the investment show „Die Höhle der Löwen“ („Shark Tank“) and uses social platforms from Instagram to LinkedIn to highlight the large variety of facets that the beauty of women can have. With this she inspires millions of us and personally I want to take this as good example and follow her lead. Of supporting and inspiring. It is an important topic that we should not stop being silent about. So girls, embrace yourselves and assemble. Be as much as you want. That is just right.

Jacket of the Season #1: Minimalistic Leather

Do you also feel about our summer to be like… whatever you wear it is wrong because it is either too hot or too cold? Welcome to Germany. In this case leather helps out very well. Personally, I feel more comfortable wearing midi or maxi-length for skirts and shorts here. I rather make the exception for holidays on the beach. Especially when it is hot or sultry like it is experts are suggesting light clothes that do not stuck on you. On days when it tends to be rainy or wet my personal choice goes to the season favorite the leather maxi-skirt.

„The leather-jacket-season is opened“, as I always like to say every year again in spring with the first rays of sun touching my skin. What I love about leather, apart from its coolness-factor is that it is water resistant. You can easily wipe off the dirt and have a clean item worn. It can keep you warm in spring but at the same time you have to be careful not to have a too tight fit in order not to sweat. This year the trend joins the minimalism-popularity: The leather-jackets with a classic collar and is best styled in a discreet minimalistic style which gives it the elegance it wishes for.

Jacket of the Season #2: Short

This one does not necessarily have to be leather but what matters here is the cut. You know what people say: when the days become longer the clothes get shorter. In this case it is even true because the trend goes to short jackets. Note: As the former Spice Girl and fashion designer Victoria Beckham stated in her book „That Extra Half An Inch“ you should combine one short item with a long item to keep the balance.

Jacket of the Season: Powerpuff Bomber

Bomber jackets came to stay. After a long period I had most recently re-introduced them for autumn/winter 2022/2023 here. This year they have developed further unfolding their powerpuff ability as oversized version. As you will notice it is basically the same jacket as last time. I join the movement of sustainable fashion and keeping treasures and modifying them in the styling instead of buying new clothes immediately. So in order to portray the powerpuff bomber I wore a large style to it.
Hint: You can as well gain the effect by highlighting only the bomber and wear very tight and shaped clothes.
